SUBLOGIC'S LAST FLIGHT SIMULATION-FLIGHT LITE/FLIGHT LITE PLUS:
SubLogic's last flight simulation was called Flight Lite (FL). This program was intended to be a flight simulation for beginners and contained all new program code to avoid further intellectual property rights disputes with Microsoft, Bruce Artwick and others. A description and screen shots of Flight Lite Plus (And really Sierra's FLIGHT) can be found at the E-Flight website. FL was released in 1994 followed by Flight Lite Plus (FLP) in 1995 which added four more aircraft to the original Cessna Citation jet of FL along with a few minor improvements. Flight Lite/FLP can be used with either version of USA scenery noted above. I found the the four aircraft new to FLP to be grossly unstable in pitch and very unsatisfactory. The program has also generated many fatal "Base Memory" errors for me-especially when popping up the map view with the USA scenery. The only satisfactory aircraft is the Cessna Citation Jet! Sierra has re-released FLP as Sierra's FLIGHT-with the sames bugs!!
SIERRA'S "FLIGHT" IS NOT A NEW PRODUCT-IT'S FLIGHT LITE:
A reissue of FLP is being sold here in the USA right now repackaged as Sierra's "FLIGHT" for about $30, bundled with USA Revision B scenery for the entire US and also scenery of the Montreal and Toronto, Canada areas. The bugs of FLP were NOT fixed by Sierra. It also does NOT come with the maps needed to fly the USA or Canadian scenery! Note: Sierra management has assured me the problems will be addressed and fixed by their Dynamix division. Do not confuse this product with Sierra's upcoming, new "Pro Pilot"simulation for Windows 95!
